I have been a ham for a little over five years now. I remember when I was first licensed, I couldn’t wait to get on the air. I had my radio’s programed, and I jumped on the Winsystem and I was on my way. I quickly realized that I did not fit in with any of the clicks that were on most repeaters in my area. I fit in with the misfits. So, I made my way over to the world famous 147.435. That was now my home. Also, yes it took some time to be welcomed. This is a pretty good user group, and these people protect that repeater and all the users on it. So, this episode delves a bit into this and some other things that you may find once you are licensed.
